WordPress has thousands of themes for different type of websites. A lot of them are free. For choosing any specific theme we normally take help from google and try top few themes. I have also written two blogs for best themes in WordPress you can check them here. 1st and 2nd.
In this blog I am going to explain the one of the best theme OceanWP in WordPress. I will discuss the pros and cones of this theme and then I will explain how we can fix all problems using free plugins. So, after reading this blog, you can create an amazing website free of cost.
Versatility of OceanWP:
The best thing of this theme, it is versatile. We can use it in any type of website. We can create static business websites, portfolio website, blogging website and ecommerce website. This theme is highly customizable, majority of customizations are free, but some are not we can fix them using free plugins.

Brief tour to Customization of Theme:
First go to Appearance>Customize
Site Identity:
In it we can add site title, tagline, and site icon.
I am skipping menus, widgets and homepage setting in this blog because these are all common in every theme of WordPress.
General Options:
In general options, we can get almost every type of basic options. In general styling we can change primary colors of theme, in general setting we can change general layout of pages like width of page (in px) in boxed content, width of sidebar etc. In page Title you can hide page title or change its color or styling, scroll on Top, pagination and forms are very elaborative with the names. We can change button colors and style with theme buttons, and we can change 404 error page design so some extent.
Typography:
We can change size, font, line height, letter spacing, font style and width from it. With one click we can change all fonts of specific text e.g. Heading, content, widget etc.
Top Bar:
In top bar we can add content and social icons. We can add links in content with HTML and we can change the alignment and position of content and social icons. We can add top bar menu by creating a menu and checking the top bar option for that menu in appearance>menus
Header:
Irrespective to other themes, its logo option is in header not in site identity. We can add social menu in main header also and hide that in desktop mode so it will be visible only in mobile menu with amazing icons with main menu. All remaining things are very elaborative with its name.
One bad thing is in basic version it does not provide us sticky header but do not worry we can solve this problem with a free plugin i.e. ” myStickymenu”
WooCommerce:
The best thing about this theme is WooCommerce theme customization. We can customize every page, header cart, and basic style of theme. We can change any color without writing a single line of code. We can change the whole structure of theme without writing single line of code. If we want something else that is not customizable with this theme, then you can use this plugin which is totally free: “StoreCustomizer”. If this plugin will not help you it means now you must customize the theme with coding. For that I have an amazing feature for you: “My Custom Functions” Download this plugin and add any type of php and JS code there.
Remaining Features:
You can add text or link with html in bottom footer and can add from 1 to 4 footers widgets. I skipped some more features because it is not possible to write all features in one blog.
